About BWA for communitiesThere's huge potential for individual members and community organisations alike... Will you rise to the challenge? The Brit Writers' Awards are being launched by the founding team behind the now internationally acclaimed Muslim Writers' Awards. That initiative has enjoyed tremendous success over the past few years, with entries going from 400 in the first year of the awards to 10,000 in 2008. With ever increasing interest in the event from the full spectrum of British communities – as well as whole-hearted mainstream support from the government, local councils, top book publishers and other influential business groups – the natural progression is to widen it out into a national awards event that attracts and accepts entries from people of all backgrounds and all ages. |
From the teamMessage from our CEO We've received thousands of entries! The deadline has now passed, and we're over the moon about the popularity of the first ever Brit Writers' Awards.
