The Brit Writers' Awards is an exciting initiative designed to encourage and inspire new writing talent in people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs. We want to unleash the hidden literary talent in the UK's workforce, and show how creative writing is an exciting and powerful way to increase your literacy skills, enhance your capacity for self-expression and turn your dreams into reality.

In order to do that, we have set up the only high-profile stage – and the biggest ever cash prize – for unpublished UK writers. And now it's time to get your employees involved in this huge initiative. We'd like businesses from all over the UK to nurture the hidden creativity in their teams and encourage their staff to submit stories, poems or songs to our nationwide competition. The finalists will attend our glittering awards ceremony in 2011, and their companies will also get to shine in the media spotlight.
