How do you feel your school will benefit from holding a mini BWA competition?
"Raise the profile for pleasure. Extend provision/opportunities for particularly able writers in the same way we do for other subjects. To embed regular writing events into our schools calendar."
Jason Still Deputy Headteacher St Peters C.E Primary School "Writing is the best way to talk without being interrupted" - Jules Renard |
Entries showcaseDid you submit an entry to Brit Writers' Awards Unpublished 2010? We want to hear from you!
Maybe you would even like to read or sing a short extract from your piece, giving other BWA hopefuls a chance to see what they're up against. Please be as imaginative and creative as you like in the filming of your video; we want to feel inspired and uplifted by you! Your video should be no more than two minutes long. If you don't have a camcorder, a mobile phone will do. Simply upload your video to YouTube, tagging it with 'Brit Writers' Awards', and then send the YouTube link (not the attachment) to media@britwriters.co.uk. We will share a selection of videos on this page, so please check back regularly. (Please note that sending us your video won't improve or diminish your chances of being shortlisted for the competition. The judges won't take it into account when they read your work. It's just another way for you to spread the joy and sense of achievement that comes from penning your own masterpiece, and for us to see and hear from the UK's most exciting new writers.) |
